BA-Building Design

In the 2025 summer semester, the BA design will be based on the role model of

Le Corbusier

There will be an excursion to Paris; the maximum number of participants is limited to 30 students. Binding registration is possible from now until 13.11.2024.

In the winter semester 2024/25, the BA design deals with the role model

Manfred Lehmbruck - Lehmbruck Museum Duisburg

The assignment will be handed out on Tuesday, 08.10.24 at 10 am in GB II, ground floor, middle zone. The weekly critique appointments are offered on Tuesdays from 09:00 am. On 11.10.24 an excursion to Duisburg is organized for all participants.

The BA design is worked on in partner work by 2 students each!

In the summer semester 2024, the BA design deals with the role model

Aires Mateus - Leuchtturm-Museum Santa Marta, Lisbon

From 11.04. - 14.04.24 an excursion to Lisbon is organized for all participants.

An alternative BA design deals with the role model

In the winter semester 2023/24 the BA design of our chair deals with the role model

Peter Zumthor - Kolumba Dance Theatre - Cologne.

The issue of the task will take place on Tuesday, 10.10.23 at 10:00 in building II, ground floor, middle zone. The weekly critique appointments will be offered on Tuesdays from 09:00. Furthermore an excursion to Cologne to the Kolumba Museum is organized for all participants on Friday, 13.10.23.

The BA draft is worked on in partner work by 2 students each!

In the summer semester 2023 the BA design of our chair deals with the role model

Peter Zumthor - Kolumba Dance Theatre - Cologne.

The issue of the task will take place on Tuesday, 04.04.23 at 09:00 in building II, 1st floor, seminar room 211. The weekly critique appointments will be offered on Tuesdays from 09:00. Furthermore an excursion to Cologne, among others to the Kolumba Museum, is organized for all participants on Wednesday, 12.04.23.

Erwin Heerich - Studio House - Museum Island Hombroich.

The issue of the assignment will take place on Tuesday, 10/10/22 at 09:00 in the middle zone EG, GB II. The weekly critique appointments will be offered on Tuesdays from 09:00 - 18:00. On 18.10.22 an excursion to the Museums Island Hombroich is organized for all participants.

The issue of the assignment will take place on Tuesday, 12.10.21 at 09:00 via zoom; the weekly critique dates then each Tuesday in the time from 08:30 - 18:00. On 19.10.21 an excursion to the St. Antonius church in Essen is organized for all participants.

In the summer semester 2021, the BA Design of our chair deals with the role model

The task will be handed out live via zoom on Monday, 12.04.21 at 13:00h. The weekly appointments for table critique then each Tuesday in the time from 09:00h - 18:00h.

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe - House Esters / House Lange in Krefeld.

The handing out of the design task will take place on Tuesday, 03.11.20 at 13:00 via zoom. The weekly critique appointments will be offered on Tuesdays from 09:00 - 18:00.

In the summer semester 2020, the BA Design of our chair deals with the role model

Gottfried Böhm - Mariendom in Neviges.

The assignment will be handed out on Monday, 20.04.2020. The weekly critique sessions will take place on Tuesdays from 09.00 - 12.00 from 21.04.20. On 21.04.20 an excursion to Neviges is organized for all participants.

In the winter semester 2019/20, the BA Design of our chair deals with the role model

Aldo van Eyck - Art gallery Schmela-House in Düsseldorf.

The issue of the assignment will take place on 08.10.19; the weekly critique dates then each Tuesday in the time of 12:00 - 18:00. On 15.10.19 an excursion to the Schmela-Haus in Düsseldorf is organized for all participants. In addition, on 22.10.19 at 10.00 a.m. there will be a lecture by Ms. Lena Brüning on the Schmela House in our Central Zone.

In the summer semester 2019, the BA Design of our chair deals with the role model

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe - House Esters / House Lange in Krefeld.

The introductory meeting followed by the issue of the assignment will take place on 02.04.19 at 09.30h at the chair. The weekly critiques will then be offered on Tuesdays in the time from 09.00 - 12.00. On 09.04.19 an excursion to Krefeld is organized for all participants.

In the winter semester 2018/19, the BA Design of our chair deals with the role model

Adolf Loos - Villa Müller in Prague.

The handing out of the design task will take place on Tuesday, 09.10.18 at 09:30 at our chair. The weekly critique appointments will be offered on Tuesdays from 12:00 - 18:00 and also on Wednesdays from 10:00 - 12:00. From 12. - 14.10.18 an excursion to Villa Müller in Prague is organized for all participants.
