On 23 April 2026, a conference featuring interdisciplinary discussions on the building culture and contemporary history of Romanticism in architecture, cities and landscapes will take place at the German Academy Rome Villa Massimo in Rome. The conference is being organised by the universities of Aachen, Potsdam and Naples. Speakers from Germany and Italy have been invited, and Prof. Heike Hanada will also be taking part in these discussions. The conference will address the open question of the relevance of Romanticism today from transdisciplinary positions and perspectives.


Master-Thesis WS 2025/26

Prof. Heike Hanada’s Chair of Building Typologies is organising a master’s thesis project this winter semester 2025/26 entitled “The Brücke Museum Berlin – a heterotopia in Grunewald”. The work of the 24 participating students will be presented on Tuesday 24 March and Wednesday 25 March 2026 in the Rudolf Chaudoire Pavilion on the South Campus.
